I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

    1. Gosh it seems all my followers are too chicken – I’d love to give it a go, but you are probably right and I’d end up with a damaged ankle/knee/hip 😛

      1. Ah yes but I was born in England and had that terrible English school system where they took you to the “swimming baths” once a week, for a few weeks in summer, and literally pushed you in… I was always sick on those days…

        1. Oh, yes, I know that one! I hated school swimming lessons and still loathe public swimming baths. I’d like my own pool but that’s not going to happen again in this lifetime.

        2. Pools are a lot of work as well Jude. My son in NZ has a pool in the new property we are going over there to see, it also has a Granny flat!!!!!

    2. I’m waiting for my eldest to get a granny flat (pool would be nice) so I can spend 6 months a year over there. Well I can dream can’t I? 😉
