Visiting a beach out of season can be a very different experience from visiting in the heat of midsummer, but I wasn’t expecting to find a beach covered in snow!

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling. View all posts by Heyjude
Wow! It is a stunning picture !
Glad you like Aletta 🙂
Fabulous shot but brrrrrr. 😀
Quite.
Now that’s something I’ve never seen! great photo too 🙂
This is a great photo. At first I thought it was one which had had some kind of post-processing done to it before I read that it was a snow covered beach!
I have used a high-key effect on the image Elaine, but that really is a snow-covered beach.
Well, let’s face it a beach is usually the last place you want to go to in the snow!
Good point! Perhaps only dog walkers who live by the sea would be there in the snow.
Wonderful.

That’s very cool, a sea of white with those slashes of colour.
Thanks Kaz. It was. Cool.
I have NEVER seen a beach covered in snow Jude, it looks so strange
It felt strange too PP! Although snow lay all around somehow I didn’t expect it quite so close to the sea.
Pretty rare, even up here, Jude 🙂 I had to look twice! For some reason I was expecting a processed bench and my brain was trying to convert what it saw. Looks great!
I think the high-key processing enhances it nicely 🙂
