Wordless Wednesday: Calm

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling. View all posts by Heyjude
Lovely words matching a beautiful fire-place.
The fireplace is similar to ones we had in our Edwardian flat. The rest of the house isn’t though 😉
I can imagine sitting in a comfy chair in front of that fireplace, reading those words.
Regards as always, Pete. x
I thought the tiles clashed with the wallpaper, but given the wallpaper is William Morris maybe it doesn’t matter.
It had to be William Morris, gorgeous picture Jude 🙂
Some of the walls were hung with tapestry not paper! I like some of the patterns, but I’m not keen on all the clashes with other patterns.
I love the photo, and I don’t mind the Tennyson, but I’m going to shout ‘cheat!’ How can it be wordless with a poem stuck in the middle? I rest my case 🙂 🙂
Is it wet and miserable there too? (or aren’t you speaking to me now 🙂 )
But…. splutter, splutter, I didn’t write the words! Anyway, calm down dear 😉
Breezy and overcast here today, but mild. Of course it is already dark now 😦
I regard that as a very poor excuse 😦 But I like you anyway. 🙂 Shades of Fred Emery, or have I got the wrong character?
??? 😕
I will do better…
Dick Emery? ‘You are awful, but I like you!’ Fred might be a cricketer. Sorry! 🙂
You two are bonkers but I’m very fond of you!
Bonkers? Me? [looks in the direction of Hartlepool] 😕
Lovely calming words, Jude. Now I know it’s not taken in your house, I can say that I’m not too keen on the wallpaper. 😛
Haha… no wallpaper in this house Sylvia. I do like William Morris prints, but in moderation, and this isn’t one of my favourites.
That is interesting but very cluttered looking…
Similar fireplace to one I had, but mine had plain bottle-green tiles and no wallpaper. This one is too fussy for me.
I agree about the fussiness…
Gorgeous. I could use some of that calm 😉
Tough time Sherri? Breathe….
