the sound of silence

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

  1. Beautiful image, certainly very calm, and calming. I very much like the composition, with the convergence towards the right of the lines of the hills and the boats. Adrian

  2. Corny but true 🙂 🙂 Glad your roof is still on this morning! We have the promised white world. I may cancel the hairdresser appointment and hibernate with the tennis. There’s been some good stuff so far.

        1. Hard to tell as there is no sun and it does look like an evening shot. So still and calm. Probably not too long before sunset given the time of year.

  3. Beautiful, Jude! Wales, that’s interesting, I have to interview you about Wales next week. 😉
I was hoping this lovely, silent image was a current Cornwall shot, the calmness after the storm so to speak … We had a terrific storm here last night. The gate to our back garden flew away …
Very, very much looking forward to seeing you sometime next week. We are leaving early tomorrow, prepared as good as possible for snowy, icy roads.
Wishing you a lovely evening. xxxx
