No, the US would you believe? Up at Balboa Park in San Diego. In the Alcazar Garden which is modelled on the one in Seville. An amazing place with loads of museums and the world famous zoo.

Ooh, I like this! 🙂 🙂 The Alcazar in Jerez wasn’t as colourful as I expected and very wet, but beautiful in it’s own way.
Another visit to San Diego then??

Balboa Park is very interesting and we never even went inside any of the museums!
I’ve been to the park twice now and still haven’t made it into a museum! I am planning many more visits – it’s such a great space. Today for my square photo I am showing something from the Japanese Garden. 🙂
Ooh, and the cactus garden probably has lots of circles.
I have a cactus post coming up, but it’s not from Balboa Park. 😉
I ran out of time in the Alcazar and hardly saw the garden 😦 oh well I’ll have to go back.
This is in San Diego Gilly, modelled on the one in Seville. I think I need to visit Seville 🙂
I think I saw a comment about a mummy daughter trip, it would be a great choice. I only went for a day from Tavira.
OH and I had a day trip to Seville from the western Algarve, must be 15 years ago! (Crikey, hadn’t realised we’d been together that long).
so do I! Had hoped to go last year but my sister-in-law was unwell so we didn’t make it, and this year we won’t have the time. Fingers crossed in the Autumn – wondering if you fly there directly and then make our way down to the Algarve.
I might suggest it as our “mother/daughter” long weekend in late October, although Florence is also calling.
