It’s June and another 30 day challenge from Becky. ‘The Life of B’ This month she is looking for a roof or roofs or even rooves. Follow the link for the rules.
One to make you swear you are not seeing a square.
I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

I didn’t read the tags until I just read your reply to Sue.
Ah, seems No-one reads the tags. [Mutter, mutter don’t know why I bother…]
I often do when I’m not sure what your mystery photo is but I was so confident about this one I didn’t bother. 🙂
Haha… yes I do that too. Try and guess and then look at the tags!
(Are tags in Reader?) A great shot: the Opera House as I’ve never seen it. Come to think of it, it’s never been a photographic subject for me. I’ll have to remedy that when I go to Sydney again.
In the Reader you usually see the first three tags. Do you not go to the actual site to read the post? I imagine you are using your iPad. I know nothing about those, maybe it is different on that platform.
Mostly I stay in the reader, although for longer posts I go to the site. I’ll know now to go to the site before I ask questions.
Haha… yes, possibly a good idea. I usually go to the site anyway.
I almost always read the tags! 🙂 I would never have guessed what this was if I hadn’t. You will be pleased to know that this is a photo which I don’t have! However… if this challenge had happened later in the year, then I probably would have. 😉 🙂
Sydney and Brisbane. Just a short, husband’s work-related trip.
Both lovely cities, though Brisbane has changed an awful lot since I went there (20 years ago). I like it up there though. The Botanic Garden in Sydney is stunning.
I’m looking forward to seeing some of the places I read about, and seen photos of. I’ve wanted to go to Australia since I was at school – so it’s been a bit of a long wait!
Oh my – love it. So very very clever. Excellent find in the archives.
It’s the IT person in me, can’t help it. Categories and tags are so important in IT for searches etc. But I realise not everyone reads them or uses them. 😀 😀
I wish I had an IT person in me. It would be so useful. I’m reclining in the garden watching the washing. Sunny but cold wind. Mick doesn’t want to go for a walk -did that yesterday! -and I’m meeting Ann for lunch in Billingham shortly xx
The cold wind arrived here yesterday evening, today it is blowing a hooley again and it looks decidedly misty on the coast. Got a bit sun-burned walking on the cliffs yesterday!
Wow, it’s dazzling mostly in a good way and yes a bit of an optical illusion as well.
Oh, nicely done, Jude! Wherever is it?
In the tags Sue – Sydney Opera House 😀
Of course!
Nicely geometric, Jude. Would make an interesting print, in a modern house.
Best wishes, Pete. x
Would make my eyes hurt too much Pete!
Interesting. Could it be the tiles on the sails of the Sydney Opera House?
It could. And it is. 🙂
Well, there you go! Clever me.

They are! I love taking odd shots of the Opera House and those tiles are astonishingly beautiful close up – different colours and opalescent.
The only tag I saw was “photography”.

Ooh! You off to the land downunder then?
Indeed I am! First time for me. 🙂
Exciting! Where to?

PS and you are right doesn’t look like a true square. It looks more like a rhombus!
Yes!
I knew I had some of the Opera House tiles, just had to track them down.
Now, now, don’t be getting in a snit! Some of us read tags. 🙂 🙂 I’ve never been close enough to take this shot, but I’d like to.

Looks decidedly squiffy to me.
