The new January Squares challenge, hosted as ever by Becky, the Queen of Squares, is all about ____light. That’s words ending in light. In this often dull month light of any kind is what we all need to lift our spirits as we wait impatiently for spring to begin. We are into the last week now so if you want to join in start looking for the ___light!
Moonlight At Twilight
This lovely moonlit scene was captured during the ‘blue hour‘ in the pretty marina at Comox on the eastern coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia where we holidayed back in August 2005.
moonlight (noun) = light from the moon

Oh, lovely!
Our first night on the island. And a full moon 🌕
How cool is that?
stunning moonlight
We had a lovely meal shortly after this moonlit stroll in a restaurant right on the marina.
I am so envious!
Sadly a long time ago ☹️
oh! Can you go back perhaps?
Doubt it, OH is no longer inclined to fly.
Understandable, it is not exactly the nicest form of transport these days plus it is better for the climate if we don’t . . . . . .a shame though xxx
Well I can go on my own and with my daughter, but maybe not Canada 😉
Tad of a long way just for a meal!
😂
I was expecting moonlight earlier, but you saved a good one for this word, Jude. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete. x
I had a moonlight earlier Pete, the waning gibbous 🌖
I remember now. Gibbous! 🙂
That’s lovely. I do find the moon quite hard to capture on camera.
Me too! Always overexposed because I don’t have filters. My phone seems to be better!
This is gorgeous Jude; great light and composition.
My kind of scene 🙂 🙂
This is a beautiful photo – so calm and serene, and I love the colours in it.
The ‘blue hour’ can be enchanting. Especially with water.
I 💙 this photo. Isn’t Vancouver Island a beautiful place.
It truly is. Did you get over to the Pacific Rim?
No, we only explored the area around Victoria.
That’s a shame, but you saw an awful lot of Canada. Where is your daughter living now?
She’s back in Sydney now and planning to stay there as far as I know. Hopefully we’ll return to Canada one day to see more.
