There hasn’t been an awful lot of travelling for this blog in recent years and whilst stuck at home during the dreadful wet weather I have been sorting through my photos. A very slow task! But I realised how many photos have never made it onto a blog post, so my idea for this year (2024) is to pick out some of my unused images for a journey around the world.
We’ll begin with this very apt photo of a shoe shop in Barcelona. Though I think you’d need rather longer boots to cope with our rainfall!

That’s a great idea for a blog series, Jude! And I love how cheery those bright wellies are – such fun for splashing about in! π
Thanks Ann. I hope you enjoy my wanderings.
Those boots are so bright and cheerful. They’d make you wish for rain just so you could wear them!
Well you can have some of ours! It has rained here for months and I am sooo tired of it.
Thanks. We did get some today. Much appreciated! ππ
What a fun idea. I’m looking forward to seeing your choices. Aren’t those boots cute. We were just talking about the weather here. Summer this year seems to go from a run of very hot dry days to cool damp days overnight. Today it’s foggy and cool but very humid, 23 degrees this morning. But as Glen said, it’s better than going through years of drought like we did a few years ago, when everything was dead.
The weather is so unpredictable now. We have had so much rain in the last 12 months and now we are in a very cold spell, unusually cold for this part of the country.
Love the bright boots- that would certainly make those dreary rainy days happier π
If only they were more comfortable to wear!
I used to own a pair of yellow wellies. Very useful they were too. Unfortunately, since I broke my foot I donβt have the flexibility to get into boots like that. Iβd have pink ones this time!
Yes, wellies are so hard to get on and off and I find that they hurt my ankles, but they are useful in muddy lanes.
