Bench Challenge Anniversary

Way back in 2015 – yes that really is ten years ago – I decided to post photos of the numerous benches sitting in my folders. It seemed that I was not alone and suddenly it turned into the Bench Challenge where I set a particular criterion each month and people joined in posting their bench photos. It was a lot of fun and I met a lot of wonderful bloggers through it.

One of the best views in Cornwall

This year I am returning to mark the occasion by posting a bench photo every Sunday. There will not be any particular theme set this year so it’s not really much of a challenge, but if there is anyone out there who still has a bucketful of bench photos and would like to join me, then please do so by adding a link in the comments or a link to my post in yours (a pingback) and I will happily pop along to admire.

Heyjude

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

    1. I believe we were looking for a café, but the one we were heading to was closed! Quite a dull day today and very blustery here, but the tennis at Queen’s was good.

      1. I saw the last 10 minutes. Stephen and Claire from Harrogate are here so we were in Olhao catching up with them. I’ve had a truly awful week and will regale you with the sorry details later on WhatsApp. Something to look forward to! On the roof with my book, trying for a bit of quiet and some cooler air at present xx

        1. Oh, dear. It’s been a bit too hot here this week, but I have managed to do some work in the garden without injuring the back. Slowly does it!

    1. Needs a backrest at least if you are going to stay for a while, but good for a quick stop to admire the view or get your breath back if hiking the path.
