Off-Season

Visiting a beach out of season can be a very different experience from visiting in the heat of midsummer, but I wasn’t expecting to find a beach covered in snow!

Heyjude

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

  1. Why does that seem such a paradox? A superb photo, with its contrasts and horizontal lines.

(It’s alright. I’m packed and just waiting for sleep time.)

  2. Great shot Jude. I remember your snowy trip to Norfolk that year. The snow was bad indeed, our first winter in Beetley! Regards as always, Pete. x

    1. Somehow I always thought that the sea would make it too warm for snow on the beach. This is a shingle beach though so maybe that is the difference.

    1. I shouldn’t think this happens in your part of the world 😉
The only white beaches you have are genuinely sand!

    1. Surreal indeed, and oh, so cold Carol! I was layered up but my lips were so numb that when a twitcher spoke to me I sounded as if I was drunk!

    1. I played around quite a bit with high-key on these images, somehow it seemed to work very well. I even went as far as having some printed so eventually I can have some of my own art-work on the wall!
