It has been quite a week for Ailsa and me with foot injuries. And what better place to illustrate feet than being on a beach in Australia, where bare feet results in lots of footprints in the sand.

Footprints in the sand

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling. View all posts by Heyjude
Love that last image, Jude! And how is the foot?
Bit sore again today after the driving yesterday, but I am trying to ignore it.
I wish I could feel the sand between my toes right now
Me too, but it is not going to happen from this landlocked county any time soon!
Hope it’s starting to feel better!! Ah, look at that sunshine and blue skies, definitely not a British summer π¦
And they have a very short winter. So.Not.Fair.
And that’s the way I like it!
You are SO lucky π
Yes indeed. And loving it.
I want to be back in Greece!!!
I am not surprised, it has been pretty dire here this summer.
I refuse to call it summer π
π¦
π
Nothing like a deserted beach, Jude. At least in my book.
Regards as always, Pete. x
Those Aussies have SO many decent beaches that it is fairly easy to find a quiet spot even in a busy place!
Bit like North Norfolk on a good day! x
π
except for the temperatures I can agree with that!
Beautiful views! Hope you two heal up up quickly!
Well I can’t speak for Aisla but my ankle is still sore, though I’m not walking much on it at the moment. Thanks for the good wishes π
Stunning – Sand, Sea – and SUN!!
Amazing!
I hope that all helped your foot to heal.
Emma π
Well if I could whisk myself over there right now it would help enormously. Sadly I can’t!
Think we all would after today’s rain! But still, a bank holiday is a day off – even if, as you say, the weather’s been pretty dire here this summer – anyway, hope it was a good one for you! e.
As someone who is ‘retired’ Bank holidays don’t mean much to me any more, but I do know how much I looked forward to them when I was working! Sadly rained all day here too π¦
Hopefully your foot will be better soon and you can walk anywhere you like.
That would be good!
Sore foot. Ouch. Hope its on the mend soon. Wonderful photography. The second one tells me the walker was going at quite clip! π
I guess that wasn’t me then! Nice to see you again Tess π
β€ β€ β€ Sliding a toe in the blogging water today.
Unhappy feet seem to wear the entire body down! I don’t recall what happened … are you on the mend?
Twisted ankle walking in a park last Saturday π¦
Badly swollen and painful, so I have been resting it, elevating it and using ice! But walking on it seems to aggravate the ankle again so I need to be careful. It has been a bad year for this foot π¦
Jude, are you sure you didn’t break something? Obviously it could be a soft tissue injury, but there are so many bones in feet/ankles. You MUST give it a decent rest! Can you borrow/rent crutches?
I’m not 100% sure, but I think it is just a sprain. I shall take my walking pole with me when I go walking.
So sorry to hear that. I hope it starts to get better soon!
Sore, but improving. It just goes to remind you how important mobility is.
It will never to be overrated in my opinion!
Is your foot getting any better? How frustrating. But at least rabbit care has ended. I must confess I relish my beach when it has no footprints!
Almost put up a photo of you walking barefoot on your beach π
Yes, rabbit care over, thank goodness, though I have to admit becoming quite fond of them by the end, they did make me laugh at times such as when they were playing hide and seek under the lawn mower cover!
