For the month of October I’m looking for a bench with someone or something sitting on it
(any kind of bench will do, but there must be at least one person, animal or object on the bench)

If you would like to join in with the Bench photo challenge then please take a look at my Bench Series page. No complicated rules, just a bench and a camera required 🙂
- Create your own post and title it Bench Series: October
- Include a link to this page in your post so others can find it too
- Add the tag ‘bench series’ so everyone can find the benches easily in the WP Reader
- Get your post in by the end of the month, as the new bench theme comes out on the first Sunday in November.
My Picks of the Week:
Isobel has some lovely benches from Camden’s Stable market and Lisa has benches with a view. Debbie is back in London and there are more curves from Ruth in Hobart. Meanwhile Elaine has some controversial ‘benches’ – what’s your opinion? And my last pick from the metal series is a sweet bench from Dawn with unusual basket-weave.
As always there are so many delightful benches to view, I hope you will check out the other links within the comment section.
Thanks for the shout out!
Love all the people gathered on your bench.
A very colourful lot 🙂
Indeed!
Just amazing that so many people can fit on one bench. I have only one person on my bench. https://memoriesaremadeofthisblog.wordpress.com/
You should see how many they can fit on a motorbike!
Oh yes I know I’ve seen them. Not many road or safety rules in India…
Yes. Not a country I would want to drive in!
Even walking around was a hazard, but what an amazing experience. Wonder how much it has changed since 1980’s…
Well I was there in 1973 and again in 2008 and it seemed as noisy, as smelly, as crowded and as chaotic as ever. Whereas the Taj was some way from any buildings it is now very hemmed in. I wasn’t struck by it on my second visit but it was just after the Taj Hotel bombing and things were a little tense.
I some times wonder about second visits. Especially if the first sight of some thing is overwhelming. Like seeing a film or reading a book for the second time when you know the ending…
What a delightful photo of the crowded bench. Love it.
It was a good photo to get.
what a fabulous shot!
Thanks Lisa. Lucky for me that they all sat there – I was waiting for the seat to be empty, but actually it is better like this.
I agree! Beautiful colors- the bench probably wasn’t as pretty!
Brilliant shot! I really love it and that smudgy editing too. 🙂 Heck- only a couple of months to go. Better get my act together 🙂
(and happy birthday! Are you off celebrating somewhere nice? Meg nudged me 🙂 )
Thank you Jo. Just had a walk around the park at our nearest NT place, got a few tree photos but I think we need to go back in a couple of weeks time. Coffee and cake to celebrate 🙂
Oh, surely they could have squeezed in one more small person?!
I love the bright colours of the saris.
Mine is up

Thank you 🙂
Another excellent crop of bench photos, Jude. For sheer nostalgia, and because I spent so much time in the market, when I lived in Camden, I have to go with Isobel’s wrought iron benches this time.
Regards as always, Pete. x
Lovely picture of a bench without seeing it!
Here is mine: https://geriatrixfotogallerie.wordpress.com/2015/10/04/universitatsbibliothek-heidelberg/
You can just about see a bit of one leg on the left side, but it wasn’t an amazing bench considering the location.
But a great picture!
