Starlight

The new January Squares challenge, hosted as ever by Becky, the Queen of Squares,  is all about ____light. That’s words ending in light. In this often dull month light of any kind is what we all need to lift our spirits as we wait impatiently for spring to begin. Click on the link to find out more.

starlight

A bit of creative license here as these are obviously not stars in the truest sense of the word, but starbursts from fireworks, but I believe that the light emanating from these starbursts is starlight. So there…

starlight (noun) = the light that comes from the stars.

Heyjude

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

  1. what a wonderful photograph Jude, and when the rule bending keeps it square and a suffix I am willing to forgive anything and everything . . but truly nothing to forgive here as these are wonderful starlights

  2. Creative AND clever! Not to mention pretty.
We actually had a couple of crystal-clear nights last week (very rare these days!) and I had a great view of Orion from my balcony. I considered taking photos for the challenge, true starlight, but was defeated by the prospect of setting up the tripod, doing battle with it to align the camera, etc. Laziness usually wins, in my case.

    1. Aw, shame on you! Saying that I never use the tripods we have (three I believe) with the exception of the Gorillapod many years ago!
