The theme for Becky’s April Squares challenge is ‘top’
-
- On Top of the World – summit, crown, peak or uppermost part of something
- Under the Big Top – topping or covering (or if you’re really lucky circus)
- Room at the Top – first or highest in position
- Cherry on Top – something made even more wonderful by becoming square
- Top and Tail – or maybe you’d prefer to play around with word combinations such as top dog, top stitch, top full, top line, top fruit, top hat, top secret, top knot, top drawer and top dollar!
“top of the morning to you”
“And the rest of the day to you“
April Squares | Day Twelve
A clever mixed image, Jude.
Best wishes, Pete. x
Thanks Pete. The view north east from my upstairs shower room. Just annoying we can’t see the hill!
Love the silhouettes Jude 🙂
Caught this sunrise this morning. I’m not a sunrise person, but the bloody cattle next door kept me awake most of the night and I saw these colours as I went downstairs to make a cup of hot chocolate! Of course, red sky in the morning = shepherds take warning and the cloud came in shortly afterwards.
Now who’s complaining about the weather? It’s overcast here now too but I’m up on the roof watching the washing dry. On the phone your image looks like a rather nice bottle with a rosy glow. And no, I haven’t been drinking yet 😅🍷🍾💕
😄😄😄😄
No complaints from me, just stating a fact. The cloud did pass by the mid afternoon and it was still wind free so I got a bit more gardening done. All the pellies moved outdoors from the conservatory. They’ll get a bit of a shock as it is forecast to be cooler tomorrow. I shall repot some of them in due course.
It is glorious Jude, just this once I am delighted the cattle woke you up 😉
Woke me up every half hour through the entire night – I was knackered by morning!
Oops!
I guess the farmer has separated the weaners from their mums…..bet you’re glad you got up early for a wonderful sunrise
Not yet, We still have that pleasure to come!
Must have been wolves nearby 😀
So we both went for ‘Top of the morning’ today – but so very differently. What a lovely dramatic shot.
I shall be over to see yours in a minute. Spent all afternoon in the garden and shifting pots outdoors, just in time for the weather to turn cooler! Oh, well.
Much better than hunched over your computer. I didn’t get gardening supplies organised before Lock Down, and the self-promised reorganisation is having difficulty happening.
wow, now this really is a top of the morning 😀
PS No idea why but your pingback is not appearing on my post today, and it is not in spam. I have noticed over the past 24hrs that comments and pingbacks have dropped significantly. It seems to happen every Squares for a short period. I have tested your link in your post and it works perfectly so goodness knows what WP are doing with them . . .
WP has quite a few glitches these days. Someone will no doubt be playing with the code.
Grrrrr!
I actually had prepared a different photo for this post, but the sunrise was so much more fitting.
Well I’m delighted, you know me and sunrises 😊
Marvellous sight!
It was glorious! I was almost tempted to get dressed and climb the hill 😄
😄😄
What a great view to have.
Yes we are lucky to have an east / west orientation. Though I do wish we had a sea view!
That looks so beautiful and serene (obviously I can’t hear the cows). We could do with more red sky mornings — still in drought here.
And after all those months of rain I am having to water the garden! Why can’t we have weather in moderation?
If I could organise that I suspect I could be o e very rich 😉
The morning sky is stunning. And I really did think it was a giant bottle, but Jo has me thinking otherwise.
Chimney pot! 😊
