The October theme offers something for absolutely everybody β a chance to share past posts, past squares and glimpses of the past. I’m going to mix it up a bit, with photos that have appeared in previous Square challenges, some that didn’t make the final and some new photos that would have done. Day One
Bright – April 2021

(Lord Blechnum, Ruellia, CJ, Augusta and Mr. Hui. These are the names of the five Chinese water dragons that live inside the conservatory. The lizards help out our team of horticulturists by eating cockroaches and other unwanted bugs. We also supplement their diet with morio worms and mineral powders. Source)
If you want to join in either daily, weekly or just on the odd occasion then please visit Becky, the only rule is that the photo MUST be a square – that is four equal sides! You have been warned π
Wow, he is certainly bright! And handsome.
And good to have in the garden! If you live in a sub-tropical climate!
Wow, such bright colours Jude!
Thought I’d start off with something colourful.
Fantastic
Love the fellow!
Great start Becky!
Becky is the hostess of this challenge – pop over to her site if you feel like joining in.
Apogies.
My mistake.
I get it.
Thank you Jude
I hope this fine fellah’s already had an outing. He deserves it!
Not sure he has!
Ooh, he looks quite fierce π€£π
I meant to say that I almost trod on one the other day. It was laboriously crossing a country path and blended seamlessly with the sandy soil. π€£π
A lizard? I suppose you get a lot over there. Good for eating bugs.
Chameleon ππ
We used to have one living in our hedge back in Johannesburg. Almost tame!
They are rather weird and wonderful, aren’t they? π€π
Amazing little ‘dragon’ – probably looks very scary if you’re a bug, but very handsome. It looks like it’s trying to blend in with the leaf. π
That’s two of us mixing it up this month – yours though is quite extraordinary today. Currently viewing it in notifications, so will be back shortly to view it properly
I haven’t forgotten that first set (which I think I barged my way into), but I am saving those for a special day next week π
I am so glad you barged you way into it, if you hadn’t I am not sure squares would have ever have turned into a challenge.
I’m not sure whether you should thank me or curse me for that!
On I am sure, it is heartfelt gratitude – next year though I will probably reduce to 3 themes!
oh my what a fellow – did he tell you which one of five he is?!
a rather splendid square with which to start π
No comment. He just stared disdainfully at his audience.
lol!
That’s a very nice lizard, Jude. π
Best wishes, Pete.
