October Squares

The October theme offers something for absolutely everybody – a chance to share past posts, past squares and glimpses of the past. I’m going to mix it up a bit, with photos that have appeared in previous Square challenges, some that didn’t make the final and some new photos that would have done. Day 21

Β (Visiting) Time – december 2018 / Lines – October 2019

If you want to join in either daily, weekly or just on the odd occasion then please visit Becky, the only rule is that the photo MUST be a square – that is four equal sides! You have been warned πŸ˜‰

Heyjude

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

    1. I agree with Pete. Love the frailness of both.
Hope you are all safe and warm and this stormy day.

      1. The storm hit us yesterday so we have sunshine today, though still very windy and much cooler than of late. Got drenched coming out of the supermarket, but not damage done.

    2. Many hours spent visiting my son back in 2017, hence the ping of the lift, the bell at the end, though this poem was actually created from a page in a book using a technique known as Erasure.

        1. Well it was open to interpretation, but really no more sinister than the end of visiting time in hospital.

        2. Nope, just himself, using up leave he would otherwise lose and giving Lauren a bit of time with Logan πŸ€—πŸ’•

        3. I’m sure you will all have fun! Hope the weather is good for his visit. It’s a bit miserable here now πŸ˜•

        4. Still lovely. Had a wander and light lunch then boat over to the Ilha. Fed cat πŸ™„πŸ’• Getting ready to go out for supper. I think we’ll all be tired tonight 😍.

        5. There is a possibility our next door neighbour will adopt it when she retires over here, but not sure when that will be πŸ€”πŸ’•

      1. Very poignant – brought back memories of visiting my parents in hospital. Such a feeling of fragility!

  1. Not all situations are going to ping with happiness and most poems are written with more angst than joy πŸ™‚ I thought the wee poem was good.
