I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling. View all posts by Heyjude

It’s quite distinctive, this cathedral, isn’t it?
It’s quite difficult to get a good photo. I think from the side view I cut off the spire! More next week.
That’s quite a distinctive view which doesn’t normally make it to the picture postcards. It should, so thanks!
It looks a little odd from this angle. Always difficult to avoid perspective distortion when so close.
You did well though.
Beautiful cathedral.
Those Gothic cathedrals never fail to impress. It took them an amazing 38 years to build that one!
Best wishes, Pete. x
…you were right about the wet weather gear…
Hopefully a better day today!
Yes very much so. As it happens we’re in St Ives right now!
It’s been ages since I visited Salisbury, but I still remember the cathedral.
