Way back in 2015 – yes that really is ten years ago – I decided to post photos of the numerous benches sitting in my folders. It seemed that I was not alone and suddenly it turned into the Bench Challenge where I set a particular criterion each month and people joined in posting their bench photos. It was a lot of fun and I met a lot of wonderful bloggers through it.
This year I am returning to mark the occasion by posting a bench photo every Sunday. There will not be any particular theme set this year so it’s not really much of a challenge, but if there is anyone out there who still has a bucketful of bench photos and would like to join me, then please do so by adding a link in the comments or a link to my post in yours (a pingback) and I will happily pop along to admire.
And because I am also participating in Becky’s January Squares here is another photo – square of course- featuring these benches with their geometric shapes.

I took part in your bench series back in 2015 and I look at benches ever since. I will post a bench every Sunday. Since we have a bit of snow today – perhaps the only one in this season – I post this one:
A great header photo in particular, and a great idea. I’ll probably join in from time to time.

Fabulous! Like many I got the bug for benches (and, weirdly, bikes) and still pause whenever I see a good one. They’re often in such great places. Happy Sunday, Jude! Hope the throat is less sore today.

I know what you mean – going from feeling quite young to not feeling young. Hmph.
I wasn’t blogging back in 2015 so this is a new one for me! I’ll see if I can look out some bench shots and join in one Sunday 🙂 I might even be able to link to Squares too, if I can get my act together soon enough!
