Your last chance to join Becky with her January Square Challenge.
We’ll mostly be looking for shapes and lines, or anything geometric that has been created by animators, architects, artists, astronomers, carpenters, cartographers, designers, engineers, landscape gardeners, navigators, scientists, urban planners, and . . . . . Well everyone really as this branch of mathematics seems to be part of everyday life.

Geometric Squares | Day 31
The only rule is that the photo MUST be a square – that is four equal sides! You have been warned 😉
I thought it must be, but glad you confirmed it was in the caption! These are fantastic close ups of the tiles – they look amazing in your square collage
They are fabulous close up, like shiny pearls.
absolutely marvellous – I’d forgotten what they look like close up
I’m echoing Becky, though initially I had no idea what I was looking at. Nice one, Jude! Happy Friday!
Sunny Friday at last! But two medical appointments so a lot of running around today. (not mine)
Well, the first and last bit’s good news!
Oooh, wow. You must have known Squares was coming up!
This is an oldie! But useful.
Had to come to the Reader as my comment was declined on the site. Thanks for showing us the SOH tiles, I had no idea there were so unusual.
Best wishes, Pete. x
That’s annoying. I haven’t changed anything.
It’s not at your end, Jude. It happened on all the blogs I tried to comment on. x
Odd. I know sometimes if you make too many comments in a short space of time your comments can go into spam.
Hmmm. Like Pete, my comment didn’t work either so I’ve come to the Reader as well, here I go for the second time. Fingers crossed it works here.
I knew straight away what this was. It’s such a beautiful building. I took similar photos when we were there for one day in November before we flew to Santiago. I never tire of seeing the Opera House when we go to Sydney.
I have no idea what WordPress is up to, as I told Pete I haven’t made any changes to the site.
Hopefully it sorts itself out.
Same thing happened to me this morning when trying to comment on 3 blogs.
Weirdly, it happened again on your next post but when I went to the reader to comment again my first one was already there. Obviously, WP is having issues again.
I found when I went back to comment again it was fine. Goodness knows what’s going on.
I was thinking of posting my close ups too
It’s an interesting and beautiful building.
I should go alone next time I am in Sydney and take my time and lots of different photos
I spent most of my time in Australia exploring alone, the best way in some regards, you can take your time and go where you want to.
Yes
I couldn’t work out what I was seeing at first – interesting!
Mmm.. yes I guess out of context they are not easily identified.
