Exciting New Changes

Happy New Year to all my blogging friends who have joined me this year. Every like, view and comment is much appreciated and I am grateful for your friendship. I hope you have a happy, healthful and joyful 2014.

As a new year begins I think it is time for me to re-think my blogging strategy. I started blogging early last year (2013) and because I enjoy writing travelogues and have hundreds of photos I decided to split them into several different blogs. Now it is time for a New Year’s resolution; I am going to combine and re-organize my blogs so they are mostly all together in this one. I will be keeping my flower blog separate because I feel it is a very different genre. The posts will be re-categorized as follows:

On the Road

Entering Sedona
Entering Sedona

This category will feature my travel tales away from home (which is more or less what this blog is now)

Postcards

Willie T's in Key West, Florida USA

Postcards will feature images from my travels.

Urbanicity

Cliff Villas, Ludlow, Shropshire, UK

Urbanicity features visual posts about architecture and urban fragments

All these posts will now feature on Travel Words to have a simplified and cohesive direction for my blogging output. I hope you will continue to follow my blog and enjoy it. If you have any thoughts or opinions about this then please let me know πŸ™‚

Heyjude

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

  1. Urbanicity is a clever word, given the way the abstract noun ending (as in audacity, felicity, paucity, etc.) coincides with the city that an urban area is.

  2. Wow Jude, I go away from blogland for a few days and look what happens! Seriously, I love the new look, very professional, and I very much look forward to exploring your site and continuing to read your posts and view your spectacular photographs. Congratulations on the new look for 2014 πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks PP. I won’t be merging the other blogs into this one – too difficult on account of all the photos (Posts are easy enough, but the photos remain on the old blog). So it is a case of starting afresh with those. Please let me know whether you think it is working or not as time goes by.
