One Day One World Project: 19:00 – 20:00

Another image from our Scottish holiday.  When we spent many an evening exploring the area. This photo is from Auchencairn. Watching the tide come in.

Lisa of the blog NorthWest Frame of Mind has decided to run a different project over the next 24 weeks. To try to show what is happening in different parts of the world (if you all join in) at a particular time of day. If you would like to participate you have until next Saturday midnight to post a photo or write about what is happening in your part of the world between 19:00 – 20:00 this week.  I hope you’ll join in! See links for more details.

Heyjude

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

  1. loved the photo and thanks for summarizing Lisa’s challenge – I knew about it – but now I know all the ins and outs – super fun and I enjoy so many of the posts – and well, I have to jump in soon.
love the vast blue in your shot. 🙂

    1. It was a very blue evening – the sun was behind us and I was hoping for the light to reflect on that cloud formation. Didn’t happen though.

  2. This is a superb shot, Jude. I really love it! Translucence is a great word. 🙂
I was tryin.g to think whether I’d been to Auchencairn but I don’t think so

  3. Lovely shot! My first novel (Ship to Shore) is set half in the Hebrides (the ‘shore’ part), and I have never been there. Photos like this one make me want to jump on a plane and see the beauty for myself.
BTW, have you managed to contribute to all of the hours in this project?

    1. Well Dumfries and Galloway is very gentle, rolling hills, forests, coastline on the Solway Forth so very different to the Hebrides I imagine, but I haven’t been there either, yet! The gulf stream keeps this area mild and wet. And yes, I have managed all the hours so far, but it will be difficult during the night time!

    1. True. I have only been to the Highlands before, which is a much more dramatic landscape. I was very pleasantly surprised by this area.

    1. It was Tina. Along a very narrow, single track road we pulled into a lay-by and just looked at the sea coming in. So peaceful. Only birdsong. Another lovely sunny evening.
