Arriving by ferry from Circular Quay, Sydney.
I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling. View all posts by Heyjude

On a cold Boxing Day, that beach looks very inviting Jude!
regards as always, Pete. x
There aren’t many beaches in Oz that aren’t inviting Pete! Boxing Day was horrid here too, but this morning was glorious – raining again now though 😦
You had any snow? Apparently it has snowed in Shropshire, but not in this bit.
See my latest post concerning the weather in Beetley. Did I ever tell you that Norfolk is the driest county in England? xx
Spoke too soon – it is trying to snow now!
I’m with Pete. I want to come and warm up in your beautiful scenes.
A gloomy Boxing Day sent me scurrying to look at my Australian images Sue 🙂
Oh, those colours. Makes you want to jump straight in!
Jump away Heather!
Most inviting!
Step right in Sue – I’m sure it will still be warm enough 🙂
Yikes!
Timeless photos Jude!
I love going to Manly by ferry – it seems so adventurous.
Odd, that,Jude: I never thought of arriving at Manly as being so good-looking ! 😀
Depends on where you look M-R 😀
Ah. The odd reject, then. 😀
I seem to remember visiting Doyles in Watson’s Bay by ferry from Manly – it was a decade ago so I may well have mixed up my geography. You’ll have to put me straight if not!
The routes seem to have changed since I was last there. You could go from the Taronga Zoo wharf to Watson’s Bay then, but now you have to return to Circular Quay. There is an eco-hopper that runs from Manly to Watson’s Bay but not very often and you can’t use the Opal card or multipass on that route. Doyles is VERY expensive nowadays, fish and chips are $40 in the restaurant!
Great pics, Jude. Love the colour of that water. 🙂
It was very clear too considering this is the harbour where the ferries come and go from!
I love the water colours in the first shot, and the composition. I think I’ll be glad to return to my seaside – even if only briefly.
