For the month of February let’s see your benches processed in Black and White

If you would like to join in with the Bench photo challenge then please take a look at my Bench Series page. No complicated rules, just a bench and a camera required 🙂
- Create your own post and title it Bench Series: February
- Include a link to this page in your post so others can find it too
- Add the tag ‘bench series’ so everyone can find the benches easily in the WP Reader
- Get your post in by the end of the month, as the new bench theme comes out on the first Sunday in March
My Picks of the Week:
A bench swamped by students from Klara
Daily Musings pays tribute to a friend
Pauline is in Tasmania this week, which looks more like England than Oz
An unusual background in old Amsterdam
and a couple you really wouldn’t want to sit on at the moment in Norway from a new entrant, Amanda.
and for a warmer photo Gilly has a lovely example of lines, patterns and contrasts.
Thanks to everyone who has joined in with this challenge so far.
The shadows add an interesting element to your photo! Here are my promised b/w benches:

Jude, I had a hard time finding the individual bench posts – the sidebar menu takes me to the main page – and well, not sure if anyone else experienced that… but I finally found it by going to all of your posts and then scrolling – not too hard – and nice to see the posts I missed – lol – but just wanted to share that.
🙂
and by the way – love the single benches you featured her e- never saw them so little – cute. 🙂 and cool contrast
Thanks for that Yvette. The link to the bench posts is under the Photo Challenge Menu (and there is a note to that effect in the main page), but obviously this isn’t very clear. I’ll try and edit it over the weekend and make a link to the category.
I set up a tag search in the WP Reader so I can track all posts (if tagged ‘bench series’) from anyone which makes it easier.
oh thanks for that – I did not know about stag search either – 🙂 – and looking for the bench for a b & w was a nice thing to be on the hunt for this month – and I think your challenge this year is truly a good idea….
have a nice weekend
I hope you find a bench for the B&W challenge, I love your photos! You have another week to get one in 😀
well guess what – I did find one and I will share the link with you. Also, need to share a reply to a comment I just wrote – lol – would like your feedback on it.
Ask away…
well it just has to do with whether or not a bench can be a subject? I fixed this sheet, but I originally had the bench in the top photo and well, one comment I received (which was very good feedback too) but he did not think I had a subject….
hm
It’s the weekend so you may be baby cuddling 🙂 I have a few places for you to sit when you get back. I was a bit naughty, though.

Oh, yes Jo, so much baby cuddling! She is so tiny! And perfect. 😀
Brilliant ….. challenge – I don’t do B&W …. but I read who is the boss here. *laughing … you just tell them. Jo, sent me over here. Lovely.
Well this is the only B&W month so you could join in later 🙂
Thanks, I like the sound of that … but I have to do like JO did .. out and hunt benches. *smile – I will start tomorrow.
OK 😀
