For the month of March I’m looking for Wooden benches

If you would like to join in with the Bench photo challenge then please take a look at my Bench Series page. No complicated rules, just a bench and a camera required 🙂
- Create your own post and title it Bench Series: March
- Include a link to this page in your post so others can find it too
- Add the tag ‘bench series’ so everyone can find the benches easily in the WP Reader
- Get your post in by the end of the month, as the new bench theme comes out on the first Sunday in April
My Picks of the Week:
Pauline takes us for a stroll around Tyalgum where she found a bench or two (and how can you resist visiting a place-name like that?)
Daily Musings has a wintry river view
Klara is in a garden with an unusual bench
and Ladysighs links to a hand-restored bench by Eddy in Poland together with one of her poems
The Lucid Gypsy found a beautiful little bench in Kuala Lumpur
whilst Debbie finds a typical English wooded bench up in the Malvern Hills
and This Melbourne Life joins us this month with a bench in… Melbourne!
How clever!
One of the more unusual ones I have found.
It doesn’t look like the most comfortable but many works of art are not.
I actually don’t think I tested this one 🙂
thanks for including me into your picks Jude. what an interesting design of your bench. i have never seen anything like that.
my choice for this week is ‘communal’ bench – a long one at a very frequented square in Brussels. we had spring weather this weekend, so everybody was out enjoying:

As you may know Jude, we’ve been on a world tour & I found myself snapping benches. We stayed with my brother & SiL when we were in New Zealand and she was very good at spotting them! I just need to organise them to fit your themes!
I’ll look forward to seeing some of them once you are sorted – you have until the end of the month for wooden benches so no hurry 🙂
That’s a beauty – a real one-off !!!
Yes, an absolute beauty!
Nice one! 🙂 Isn’t this challenge going well? I sent one of the 6 Word-ers in your direction yesterday. Can’t have you being too idle on all these benches. You’ve set it up beautifully, Jude. I’m impressed.
What a stunning design for a bench! I think it’s going to be pretty hard to find a more unique bench 🙂
Oh there have been a few already Jo – which is why I had to step up my game!
What a beautiful bench, Jude! I’ve never seen one quite so unusual. 🙂
Well the one you posted was pretty amazing!
Oh this may be my top bench pick this far Jude. How fun is that?!
Have you looked at any of the others Sue? There are some unusual ones popping up all over the place 🙂
I haven’t seen them all but am following some of your participants as well. Definitely some creative bench makers out there. 🙂
Love this! What a cool bench. I admire the people who come up with these ideas.
Suitable for the garden setting – and now I have JUST remembered another interesting one in a garden [scurries off to find it]
