For the month of April I’m looking for benches with a view

If you would like to join in with the Bench photo challenge then please take a look at my Bench Series page. No complicated rules, just a bench and a camera required 🙂
- Create your own post and title it Bench Series: April
- Include a link to this page in your post so others can find it too
- Add the tag ‘bench series’ so everyone can find the benches easily in the WP Reader
- Get your post in by the end of the month, as the new bench theme comes out on the first Sunday in May.
My Picks of the Week:
Some that I particularly liked this week are from Jo, who managed to capture a few benches into her weekly walking post. Pauline has a bench on a ship – don’t get many of those on here! Karen (formerly Elizabeth) has benches galore on one of my favourite walks around Sydney. And I particularly like those curvy ones.
If you are a Francophile you will enjoy this view from Klara.
A new entrant this month is soletusknow with a lovely soft photo of a bench practically IN the water. Aletta’s bench is deceptive – don’t get too comfy. And finally Yvette has a tour around Washington DC, with a bench of course.
Thanks to everyone who joined in – more links can be found within the comments so do have a look around.
A majestic mountain view!!
Here is my entry: https://nowathome.wordpress.com/2015/04/19/bench-series-16/
Another majestic mountain… 🙂
That picnic bench is so tiny next to the trees and that huge mountain of rock. I’d feel someone breathing down my neck if I sat there for a snack. Wonderful picture. 🙂
You’d get a crick in the neck staring up at the ‘rock’, there are mountains all around you, but it felt quite open on the ‘beach’. Just wish we’d had a picnic!
You didn’t have a picnic? Too bad. ❤
Well, it was February, so not really picnic climate. In fact it snowed the following day!
And here I would never have thought it was February. No hint whatsoever. 😦
I can only imaging what a crick you’d get from this amazing view, it’s all straight up! Great bench for this theme. 🙂
Have you been to Yosemite Lisa? Not too far from you. I’d like to go there in summer when the wild flowers are in bloom.
I haven’t been yet Jude but it’s on my list for a summer road trip soon. Wild flower season would be a wonderful time to visit. 🙂
One of my favorite places in the US – several great visits to Yosemite.
Oh, you are so lucky. You have some amazing national parks. I would love to visit Yellowstone too.
Yellowstone is less than a day’s drive; I could meet you there ☺️
Now that’s a view!
One you are familiar with?
Oh yes. Can’t say I sat at that particular table, but nearby!
Jude my eyes gazed upward to the cliff and then the picnic table came into my peripheral view. Looking so tiny under the massive rock face. I love this photo. I can’t even tell you exactly why but it feels so very clever to me. 🙂
It’s a very awe inspiring place. Have you been there?
Sad to say I have not. Seems so odd being relatively close. One year we will have to do a road trip.
Yes, you must! Have you ever been to the Atlantic Provinces? I want to do a road trip around there.
Oh I highly recommend it! I have relatives in Nova Scotia and have been a handful of times. Absolutely spectacular!
I shall have to pick your brains nearer the time.
I would be happy to chat about it Jude. I have not been to the other Maritime provinces, something that must be fixed, but I definitely know lots of folks who have.
I’m going to echo Sue Slaght’s comment. I thought it was a “wow” to see the massive stone wall with the trees dwarfed in front of it … then the tiny little bench came into view. What a beautiful shot! I want to be there 🙂
It made a huge impression on me: http://wp.me/sL5Ms-awesome
