For the month of May I’m looking for benches at the beach

My Picks of the Week:

Carol is a little late for a bench with a view, but as she has a view of bluebells which is appropriate in May, I’ll let her off as you’ll probably enjoy the bluebells.

Gilly is on the south-west coastal path, whilst Debbie is still in much warmer climes in Barcelona and my final pick is from Tgeriatrix who has benches in beach baskets – yes you did read that correctly!

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

  1. Are you back in Cornwell? Lovely rocky bench in a rocky landscape. And there’s ocean, which I may just be missing!

    (I scheduled two October benches this morning. How’s that?)

    1. That’s pretty good! Yes we are back in Cornwall though this image is from last month. WiFi dreadful (though we are supposed to have it in the cottage it is not working) so I won’t be doing much. Can’t see images!

  2. When I first saw May’s topic I thought it would be easy but it really hasn’t been! June is a great excuse to play, I’m looking forward to it 🙂

  9. Hi Jude, Thanks for the shout out! I have to say that’s really and truly a “bench” seat. Perfect for watching those waves. It’s true that as I get more hooked by photography I will do things and go places that once upon a time I might not have!
