For the month of July I’m looking for a bench with ‘Unusual Details’
(This month I want to see photos of a bench which is different to the norm. It may be the shape, style, length, height, colour, material or even location that attracts your attention)

If you would like to join in with the Bench photo challenge then please take a look at my Bench Series page. No complicated rules, just a bench and a camera required 🙂
- Create your own post and title it Bench Series: July
- Include a link to this page in your post so others can find it too
- Add the tag ‘bench series’ so everyone can find the benches easily in the WP Reader
- Get your post in by the end of the month, as the new bench theme comes out on the first Sunday in August.
My Picks of the Week:
Some natural offerings this week from Aletta and Elaine and Sylvia
Debbie has found a ‘flower pot’ and both Tgeriatrix and Restlessjo have discovered benches covered in tiles, but for an elegant bench then take a look at Violetsky’s and a most intriguing one from Isobel
So many unusual benches! I thank you all 🙂
I think I’d rather be able to see a serpent than to sit with it somewhere beneath me!
I don’t think I saw the head until we got up to carry on walking!
I have never seen a flower-pot bench before, shame it was all ‘tagged’ over.
I have to go with the owl bench, lovely carvings.
Regards as always, Pete. x
Tagging is the scourge of society, looks ugly, spoils everything and gives absolutely nothing!
wow, now that’s a bench detail I’ve never ever seen like before!
I am lagging behind this month – just can find nice details on benches (or new benches for that matter). Here is one, not really unusual detail, but a starter 🙂

Thank you Klara 🙂
That is one strong serpent. Not sure I’d like the idea of it’s head lurking beneath the seat, though!
Well at least you can’t see it when you sit down!
Nice serpent Jude!
I have a map: http://travelwithintent.com/2015/07/19/map-bench-river-ver-st-albans/
and my bench – for running away from serpents, is here
What’s that serpent up to, head under the seat??
Don’t ask Sue. Don’t ask…
Quite… Recreating Eden?
What a fabulous and truly unique bench!
That’s an interesting bench, but I think the snake would give me the creeps. I find snakes very scary. Nice craftsmanship though.
I have seen a few here, but none as magnificent as this one.
