It has been quite a week for Ailsa and me with foot injuries. And what better place to illustrate feet than being on a beach in Australia, where bare feet results in lots of footprints in the sand.
Footprints in the sand
I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling. View all posts by Heyjude

Being barefoot in the sand is an idyllic scene, except in the extremes of an Aussie summer, when the sand is hot enough to fry an egg. 🙂
Today is the first day of Spring here, and it feels like it. I hope you’re feeling better soon.
Thank you LD. I am hoping to be barefoot on Cornish sands next year. Maybe not as hot as yours, but equally beautiful 😉 Happy spring!
More rain and a sore ankle? Sorry to hear your summer is not going as planned. 😦
Ah, well, just got to get on with things as best as possible. I would like to visit a couple of gardens before they close for the winter though, so some fine, dry weather would be good!
You’re due for a pretty fall, I can feel it. 🙂
I certainly hope so!
Roll on summer! 🙂
Oooh, that looks inviting – I would love to be there just now! Hope your foot/ankle is feeling better.
Only a year ago I was planning this holiday! Time does fly!
It certainly does!
Speedy recovery for your foot! Love the images, the second image gives romantic feels 🙂
Thank you. I think footprints in the sand always look lovely.
I hope your foot will soon let you run along a beach 🙂
Not sure that will be any time soon Gilly! When do you go off to Portugal?
Great header photo – looks like everyone is having fun! Hope you will be soon.
Oh, yes the piggy-back race looked to be a lot of fun. Aussies are so lucky that they can have such an outdoor lifestyle. We Brits cannot guarantee sunshine even in mid-summer 😦
Great beaches you have shown Jude. Hope you foot/ankle is soon better.
You have so many great beaches 🙂
Ankle no longer swollen but I am not walking much on it so we’ll see how it goes when I do!
Take care of it.
Soft sand on a hot summer day would not be conducive to foot repair. Smooth sand by the water on the other hand….
Oh, don’t! I would love to transport myself back to that beach right now. My nearest beach is 2.5 hours drive away 😦
You recovered yet Hop along? Hope so! We’re just driving back from the airport xx
Yay! Nice to have you back. I have missed you. Hope you had a great time and more sun than we have had here 😦 though I can’t grumble today. Foot almost back to normal, just a bit stiff and painful first thing.
Fantastic time but still a little befuddled. Must be the lack of wine today 🙂
It’ll be like you were never away in a few days, but then you WILL be away again so you’ll be even more befuddled 😀
Got ‘can’t sleep’ syndrome now 🙂 I could use the extra hours for all the catching up but first I need to book Polish currency and Dad’s Special Assistance.
When are you off again?
Thursday. Achieved lots today… well, almost 🙂
Well, don’t wear yourself out!
