This has that ‘could be anywhere’ feel about it, and is very atmospheric, Jude.
I have seen cows on Hoe Rough scratching themselves on wire. It doesn’t appear to damage their tough hides.

Great photo! It brings back memories of more than a few barb-wire fences I’ve climbed over the years … gingerly trying to get over with my pants – and pride – still intact 😉
