For the month of OctoberΒ I’m looking for a bench with someone or something sitting on it
(any kind of bench will do, but there must be at least one person, animal or object on the bench)

If you would like to join in with the Bench photo challenge then please take a look at my Bench Series page. No complicated rules, just a bench and a camera required π
- Create your own post and title it Bench Series: October
- Include a link toΒ this pageΒ in your post so others can find it too
- Add the tag ‘bench series’ so everyone can find the benchesΒ easily in the WP Reader
- Get your post in by the end of the month, as the new benchΒ theme comes out onΒ the first Sunday in November.
My Picks of the Week:
Some really cool benches this week inhabited by all sorts of subjects – it is obvious that a lot of people take photos of occupied benches! Take a look at a couple from Pauline: Inside Dunedin Railway Station and one inΒ Crystal Castle a fantasy world in Mullumbimby – how can you resist a name like that? Aletta joins us again with some amusing statues on mini benches that are bound to make you smile as does Lisa’s bench. Both Geriatrix and Isadora show us how to relax and Gilly visits one of my favourite places. Even the intrepid Canadian adventurerΒ Sue joins in (though notΒ intentionally) with a fabulous bench inΒ Montreal.
And two special benches: one from Liz, a nature photographer who kindly gave me permission to share this with you. Honestly it is hard to believe this is in London;
and a very sweet and poignantΒ memory from SylviaΒ – thank you for sharing this moment with us.
As always there are so many delightful benches to view, I hope you will check out the other links within the comment section.
Here is another mini bench for you!:
Mini benches seem to be very popular in SA π
Yeah some years ago I was sitting at that bench – okay without guitar (and my drum equipment was too bulky to carry around) – very well captured… π
Really? Outside St Vincent’s church? Fabulous panoramic views. Shame you weren’t able to have the drum kit with you.
Agree amazing views – ‘hehehe’ if I had, so I believe there would still be talking about it… π
I’m sure they would!
Love that quote! And that’s a lovely shot. I have a bench for you, will post it this week.
I look forward to it π
This picture was taken a few years back when we visited the northern coast of Spain.https://geriatrixfotogallerie.wordpress.com/2015/10/11/antonio-gaudi-and-friends/
hehe, nice one π
The Cornish view is so good, I almost went with that, Jude. But It has to go to the wonderful pelican in St James’s Park. (As I am originally a Londoner…) They are imposing birds, and it is not unknown to see them scoop up and eat a pigeon or a duck!

I have added this next link before, but it suits your current theme, with two very distinguished occupants.

Regards as always, Pete. x
I did wonder if you had seen the pelicans Pete, I had not heard of them until Liz’s post. Thank you for the bench π
Ahh, a bench to serenade his girl!
Actually she was the one singing π
I wonder, was he singing, or just strumming?
Anyway, my meager benches are posted.

She was singing π
