Heyjude

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

  1. Nothing like that light. You feel you ought to be able to bathe it, pour it in a glass with some prosecco, curl up in it. Lovely, Jude.

    1. We had a good couple of months, it seems to have gone downhill since they turned the clocks back though 😦

        1. Oh, no! Soggy fireworks… 😦
Happy birthday for tomorrow – hopefully there will be a lovely log fire to curl up in front of. With a glass or two of wine. Perhaps best NOT to go on the water OR up to the waterfall, we don’t want you slipping over the edge 😉

    1. It was the day the clocks went back when the light started to fade in mid-afternoon. I spotted the barn and the bales of hay and it just looked so warm. Sadly it has been too foggy and misty here so far this week to see any light!

    1. Lucky sighting Sherri, I was actually heading in the opposite direction, but looked around, ‘just in case’ 😉

    1. I was surprised when I turned around and saw this scene as it was still only mid-afternoon, but on the days that the clocks went back so already the sun was sinking.

  2. I think you must have our light too, Jude. Nothing but grey skies here for the past few days, as well as two days of thick fog and torrential rain.
    Maybe next autumn?
    Regards as always, Pete. x

    1. Same weather here Pete, this was last weekend when the clocks went back. I wouldn’t take the camera out today!
