For the month of November I’m looking for a bench with either a message OR an Autumnal theme
(any kind of writing will do, it could be a message, a plaque, a dedication or even a map)

If you would like to join in with the Bench photo challenge then please take a look at my Bench Series page. No complicated rules, just a bench and a camera required 🙂
- Create your own post and title it Bench Series: November
- Include a link to this page in your post so others can find it too
- Add the tag ‘bench series’ so everyone can find the benches easily in the WP Reader
- Get your post in by the end of the month, as the new bench theme comes out on the first Sunday in December.
My Picks of the Week:
Some very exciting messages spotted this week – have a look at Violetsky, Anabel and Elaine for interesting inscriptions. And Dawn is looking Shady this week.
Debbie and a newcomer Junk Boat Travels have benches with a political message, who’d have thought that?
Tish as usual has a bench with a story, can’t keep a good writer down, whilst Judy has the most beautiful commemorative bench that I have seen. I’m sure they’d all love you to pop in and say hi.
As always there are so many delightful benches to view, including several newcomers, I hope you will check out the other links within the comment section.
Thanks for the mention! I’m loving all your posts with Autumn colours. Another one pinging its way towards you shortly.
This one is from a few years ago with the grandchildren (you can just spot them in the background), a favourite meeting place for us when I lived ‘down south’ 😀
Oh yes, I see them! Did you see the comment on my post from the daughter of Dr Cuthbert whose bench you admired? Lovely romantic story.
I’ll pop over and take a look 🙂
I have to agree that the commemorative bench with the birds is rather magnificent. But I am drawn to the ‘segregated’ bench, with its historically political message.
Regards as always, Pete. x
That bench is ‘different’ all right!
Inspiring view… 🙂
Probably my favourite garden in England. Something to see at any time of the year and for everyone 🙂
Beautiful autumn scene, Jude. It still feels like summer here. 🙂
I’m guessing you don’t really get an autumn in Florida. Or winter. I would miss the seasonal changes, though I certainly wouldn’t miss the greyness…
Yes, I do miss the change of seasons. I think that coming to England for Christmas will give me my fill of cold weather to last for at least another year. 🙂
Haha, probably! What made you decide to settle in Florida? Your son is further north isn’t he? I can see that being north wouldn’t be appealing when you are used to the heat and humidity of Durban. I must admit going somewhere warmer and sunnier is appealing during the winter months.
Yes, Florida has much the same climate as Durban. Neither of us would want to live up north. The winters are brutal.
Thanks for featuring my bench, Jude. And the nice things you say 🙂
I only speak the truth 😀
Lovely you 🙂
That looks like a substantial bench – but I hope the view was just as enchanting from the front as it seems to be from the back!
I have a bench with fall leaves and a message of where you are
🙂
It is. A view across a pond with ducks 🙂
I am sure there is a message on this bench but which one? https://geriatrixfotogallerie.wordpress.com/2015/11/08/bench-series-45/
Intriguing. How come I cannot find such interesting benches?
