For the month of November I’m looking for a bench with either a message OR an Autumnal theme
(any kind of writing will do, it could be a message, a plaque, a dedication or even a map)

If you would like to join in with the Bench photo challenge then please take a look at my Bench Series page. No complicated rules, just a bench and a camera required 🙂
- Create your own post and title it Bench Series: November
- Include a link to this page in your post so others can find it too
- Add the tag ‘bench series’ so everyone can find the benches easily in the WP Reader
- Get your post in by the end of the month, as the new bench theme comes out on the first Sunday in December.
My Picks of the Week:
Some very exciting messages spotted this week – have a look at Violetsky, Anabel and Elaine for interesting inscriptions. And Dawn is looking Shady this week.
Debbie and a newcomer Junk Boat Travels have benches with a political message, who’d have thought that?
Tish as usual has a bench with a story, can’t keep a good writer down, whilst Judy has the most beautiful commemorative bench that I have seen. I’m sure they’d all love you to pop in and say hi.
As always there are so many delightful benches to view, including several newcomers, I hope you will check out the other links within the comment section.
These benches with messages are touching in so many cases, and the spruce explanation is genius! Who knew there would be so many benches out there with wonderful messages. Here is the bench I found for this week https://dailymusing57.wordpress.com/2015/11/08/bench-series-22/
I am also surprised at the messages. Such interesting benches with the poems. I don’t seem to come across them though.
Autumn looks wonderful at Wisley Jude.
Thanks for the mention for last week.
This week I’ve got a touch of autumn and a message too. Not political this week!
Typical weather this side of the country too Debbie. Hope the recovery is going well 🙂
Your favourite garden? Well now I’m really interested, I’ll have to look this beauty up!
It is the RHS flagship garden in Surrey. A fabulous glasshouse too and in February they have butterflies 🙂
We’re coming!!
Yours sincerely,
Siri & Selma 👭 😊😊
What is the seven acres bit about? an area in Wisley?
Yes. The whole site is around 60 acres and divided into different areas of planting. My post https://smallbluegreenflowers.wordpress.com/2013/12/28/garden-portrait-rhs-wisley/ describes the various areas. Seven Acres includes the pond/lake and woodland trails. If you are anywhere near there you must visit, it doesn’t matter when, even in the rain there is the glasshouse to impress you.
Wonderful Autumn colours, Jude! Not sure I have a bench for you this week….
So nice to see you Sue, I was about to email you as haven’t seen you on the blog recently. Hope all is well.
Hi Jude (or should I say Hey Jude? 😉) good to hear from you, I’m fine thank you, just busy! Probably shan’t post much for a while
Good to hear from you and that you are fine. Busy is good! Have fun 🙂
Seen seven people in 4days and chatted the hind legs off a donkey….back to reality tomorrow.
I’m joining this challenge with my international collection of autumnal benches. Check it out at: http://writingfeemail.com/2015/11/09/bench-series-november/. Thanks for the forum and the chance to share.
Thank you for joining in 🙂
I’m not too likely to find many autumnal bench scenes at the moment, but here’s one with a message:

That’s a sweet message and a lovely sculpture as well 🙂
