Three out of four ain’t bad

This trio managed to hook up in France this summer. Not bad considering the one on the left lives in Australia 🙂

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

    1. I’m sure she’ll be thoroughly spoiled! Next year I hope to take her to New York (which I promised her for her 21st birthday!!)

    1. I was very young, but even younger when her (Aussie) brother was born 🙂
      Nice thing was that I was still young(ish) when they all left home!

      1. Thirty years ago when I had my children, I was considered older than typical to be starting a family in my late twenties.
        Now women are starting their families in their late thirties and early forties and I’m wondering where they get the energy!!

    1. I think she must have drunk from the fountain of youth, she never looks a day older (except for the crinkles around her eyes) and yes, elder and younger brothers.

  10. Nice family shot! They look happy together. I had to read through the comments to learn what “fourth” was missing and who these people are. I’m sure south of France in November will be nicer than New York, brrrr.

    1. You have a point re: NY in November, it’s just she has her heart set on going there. I’d rather take her to Cape Town 🙂
