I always look up when out with a camera. Especially in a city. You can get a different perspective of a building; an unusual roof-line, architectural details, shapes, shadows, angles and patterns.
Sometimes the focal point is a break in the pattern as in this darker window amongst the rows of identical windows on a Sydney skyscraper.
Very cool shot. I also like to look up especially in cities. I’m surprised I didn’t crash into someone or fall into a manhole walking around New York – so much to see up there!
It can be slightly dangerous…as well as getting neck ache.
This one did weird things to my eyes as I scrolled through Reader! The black window is a great touch.
I looked at your picture quite closely, but it wasn’t until I read the words about the darker window that I went back to the photo and spotted it! Great choice for the theme.
