An imperfect photo? Surely not However the subject of this image was seriously flawed.
Thursday September 15th 2016: We deliberately meandered along the foggy shores of the Firth of Forth on our way to Edinburgh with the purpose of stopping in North Berwick and having seafood chowder or lobster bisque for lunch from the well-known Lobster Shack.
Mouths watering in anticipation we made our damp way to the harbour and then saw that the shutters were down. Gutted! Closed except for weekends.
Please visit Paula to see other representations of this week’s challenge.

Clever!!
I hope Paula thinks so.
Massive sympathies from here. I love that place!
I take it from your response that you have managed to catch it when open!
No chowder! That’s so sad, Jude. But a fine response.
I was quite disappointed Tish. It’s not as though I am up there that often!
And when you have a yen for chowder or bisque nothing else will do 😦
Indeed. In fact I have a yen for some now. Shall have to try and persuade the OH to go out for lunch tomorrow 🙂
Story of my life, kid! 🙂 🙂
😀 😀
I’m sorry you did not get your chowder. Thank you for the entry, Jude.
Thank YOU, Paula.
Nothing worse that having that anticipation dashed on arrival!
Like those ‘Norfolk Mondays’, when most of the restaurants don’t open.
Nice shot though.
Best wishes, Pete.
How disappointing!
It was rather, but cake made up for it – almost!
When we were in North Berwick it was cold and rainy but we loved our stroll around the town. Thanks for the memory 🙂
It did look lovely, what we could see through the fog. And the cafe on the edge there had good cakes and coffee. I’ll post more of the ‘views’ soon.
How disappointing! Great entry for imperfect, though!
An imperfect day all round really. I wanted to see the Bass Rock and couldn’t. Nor the volcanic hill outside of North Berwick (conical North Berwick Law). But there were some highlights which will appear on here eventually.
Imperfect days are a trial, but they are a fact of life!
How incredibly rude of them!
I know! Shan’t be going back there any time soon 😉
