It’s June and another 30 day challenge from Becky. ‘The Life of B’ This month she is looking for a roof or roofs or even rooves. Follow the link for the rules.
In the little town of Coombs on Vancouver Island you will find the Country Market and its famous goats on the roof– also the best ice cream on the island, but ask for a child’s portion because they are huge! It’s not unusual to see grass on a roof in these parts, we once saw one complete with a lawn mower!

Goats and grass on a roof. You are excelling yourself with these, Jude! 🙂
Best wishes, Pete. x
A green roof, nice one! I will have one tomorrow (differnt green, no lawn mower, though) 😀 BTW: If you had told me “Switzerland” or “Austria” I would have believed you.
Ah, yes. Strange to find this in Canada!
LOL, the goat might save the lawn mower!
Maintaining your position as top of the most original roof list!!!
I do my best!
This time next week, we’ll be on our way to Vancouver Island! I am adding Coombs to our list right now!
Oh, enjoy! I love VI – do go to the Pacific Rim (Tofino, Ucluelet ) if possible. That side is probably my favourite part of the world.
It will depend on public transport because we won’t have a car but I’ll certainly be on the lookout for great places to visit.
Probably not then, it’s quite a drive away from Victoria.
I’m sure we will see some wonderful sights.
You certainly will.
Now that is unusual you seem to be on a roll with “things” on roofs Jude
I might have run out of things now PP. Back to the unusual.
Definitely finding the unusual Jude
Fantastic shot . . not sure this goat will like the other animal I have seen this morning on a roof (a bear!!). Your wonderful shot reminds me of the children’s tale about the cow on the roof and the disasters that followed when a man was left in charge of running the home for a day.
I vaguely remember a story about a cow on the roof.
I’ll dig out the book. I think it was a Swedish folktale.
You certainly find all tgexquirky ones! Love the goat.
I do my best – that is a pretty quirky word btw!
Yes, I noticed that after I hit Reply! G is next to H, and I often accidentally hit something on the row above instead of the space bar. It’s a small keyboard (mini-iPad) for a clumsy person. I thought you’d figure it out though …
I did 😀
Marvellous!
I love this! 🙂
