Square September: Pink

Becky’s September square photo challenge begins today!  She would like us to share photos which embrace ‘pink’ –  there could be pink in the photo, the subject or photographer could be ‘tickled pink’*, or indeed looking ‘in the pink’*.  A photo that manages to do all three things is the ultimate offering.

Can’t get much pinker than this shop window display in Paris, with the added pink frame. It certainly caught my eye.

*in the pink’ means in perfect condition, or in good health, and ‘tickled pink’ means delighted.

Heyjude

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

    1. Thank you Pete. Surprisingly I do have quite a few pinks (obviously I could probably do this challenge purely using flowers, but I won’t). Got a technical problem though so whether I manage to post daily this month is anyone’s guess.

  1. Love those idioms…. i did a check on the origins of both. I’d always imagined” in the pink” was healthily in the buff and glowing pinkly.
Gorgeous shop window those colours leap out for attention.

  2. Yay you must have been tickled pink that your laptop decided to behave itself!! What a fabulous opener Jude, all those pink squares. I love it!

    1. Still working on the laptop Becky, but I managed to copy my pink squares (fortunately already edited) into my media library so I can use an alternative machine if necessary!
