Time x Square

Time for another square month hosted by the lovely Becky. The photos don’t necessarily have to be of a timepiece, but are open to interpretation to reflect time in some way, or sayings such as ‘the passing of time’, ‘a stitch in time’, or time running away from you.

Day 11: Tulip Time

Tulip Time Festival is an annual festival held in Holland, Michigan. Tulip festivals are held in many cities around the United States of America that were founded or largely inhabited by Dutch settlers.

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

    1. Yes, these are rather pretty. I don’t tend to go for the paler ones, but I wouldn’t mind these. I have some apricot ones for next spring if they appear.

        1. I think we have had one sunny day, one sunny morning and one sunny afternoon in two weeks. Grey appears to be the colour here. 😦

  7. I know you love a tulip or two. Would you believe I saw my first almond blossom today? I thought it was a mirage 😃🌸🌷💕

    1. That does seem early, are you sure it was almond blossom? There are some cherry trees that do have winter blossom. But then again, you have been experiencing some very warm weather.

      1. I’m not absolutely sure because I couldn’t get close. I took a shot but I had to zoom so the jury is out at the moment. Furniture all gone? You’re on the home strait now. David feeling better? 😃💕

    1. I agree! I wonder what they are? I usually buy darker colours or orange / red, but I do have some apricot ones for next spring.

  9. Stunning photos, Jude…just what we need on these grey days…although some of my bulbs are already poking through, it’s so mild, isn’t it?

    1. They are rather lovely aren’t they? And I do like tulips, though I hadn’t realised that places in the US held tulip festivals!
