This month we will be looking for Gold. Gold is the colour of wealth, of power, of gods. Gold-leaf applied to paintings, gold crowns and coins. But look also for golds in the natural world, a fish, a sunset or sunrise, flowers and autumn leaves or sunlight on water. Or capture the light in the ‘golden hour’.
“Colour is a power which discreetly influences the soul.”
~ Wassily Kandinsky

You’ve certainly chosen some great images to get us thinking. I love the dappled shadows on the church.
A month to use the imagination.
Yes you were right Jude. I may struggle but will try for at least one a week 🙂
I’m sure there will be some golds in nature around you. Wattle trees, Grevillea.
My Wattles are yellow I have my ideas that might surprise…..
Sounds intriguing.
Great gold choices, indeed, Jude – makes me really realise what a wonderfully warm colour gold is! And nature’s soft gold is so comforting, too – a perfect choice as we gradually say goodbye to the summer and prepare for the enriching, hibernation period of winter!
This month may be more about the light and the more natural colours.
… A real challenge you’ve set everyone, Jude!
That will be a challenge, I have to look.
I like your varied selection of golds!! I will see what I can find!
Lovely golds! I´ll have a golden line for this week… 🙂
Thanks Maria.
They all look stunning together like that
Thank you.
