The October theme offers something for absolutely everybody β a chance to share past posts, past squares and glimpses of the past. I’m going to mix it up a bit, with photos that have appeared in previous Square challenges, some that didn’t make the final and some new photos that would have done. Day Two
Trees – July 2021

If you want to join in either daily, weekly or just on the odd occasion then please visit Becky, the only rule is that the photo MUST be a square – that is four equal sides! You have been warned π
I had never heard of scribbly gums. Thanks for the introduction to them, Jude.
Best wishes, Pete. x
Some kind of moth I believe. We saw some amazing ones in Sydney.
Interesting markings – they make me think of textile art. π
This does look like some sort of silk.
Lovely design!
Thanks for letting people know about our Scribbly Gums Jude. You are right about the moth larvae making the markings on the trunk. There are three species called Scribbly Gum – Eucalyptus haemastoma, Eucalyptus racemosa and Eucalyptus rossii and they are found in different locations in NSW
I was fascinated by them when my nature guide pointed them out on my NSW adventures
That’s novel – interesting stuff!
a Tree square with a hidden past – I like it
This is so interesting! haven’t seen this before
Ooh, scribbly it is!
I know! Fascinating stuff!
Excellent
Amazing.
That looks like hard work for the moth to make these scribbles. π
