The October theme offers something for absolutely everybody – a chance to share past posts, past squares and glimpses of the past. I’m going to mix it up a bit, with photos that have appeared in previous Square challenges, some that didn’t make the final and some new photos that would have done. Day 18
Sign from the past – October 2021
If you want to join in either daily, weekly or just on the odd occasion then please visit Becky, the only rule is that the photo MUST be a square – that is four equal sides! You have been warned 😉
Those old metal signs are still popular as decorative pieces. Julie watches a lot of antique programmes, and I see them selling for considerable sums of money.
Best wishes, Pete. x
A lot seem to get used as target practice!
That’s a real Blast from the Past.
I don’t recall Lyons tea. My mother always used PG Tips I think.
I can’t remember at all. But then Tea and Me Just don’t Agree
Reminds me of the old country post office near my primary school. It had some of those old signs on the outside and inside there was not much more than a big wooden counter with shelves behind that held lots of sweetie jars. (And there must have been the postal stuff too, but I only noticed the sweeties!!)
Ah, yes the old sweetie jars. You can still find them now, but the sweets are not the same.
such a great sign – wish there were more about
Yet another blast from the past.
Fab old sign!
Nostalgia, hey? I don’t like tea.
Me neither, but I didn’t see any signs for coffee!
But it’s a cracking photo. Sue keeps chiding me for my ‘humour’.
😂💕
That’s a blast from the past!
