The October theme offers something for absolutely everybody – a chance to share past posts, past squares and glimpses of the past. I’m going to mix it up a bit, with photos that have appeared in previous Square challenges, some that didn’t make the final and some new photos that would have done. Day 20
Blue – July 2019 / Top – April 2020 / Trees – July 2021
If you want to join in either daily, weekly or just on the odd occasion then please visit Becky, the only rule is that the photo MUST be a square – that is four equal sides! You have been warned 😉
This would have been fab for Cee’s Swiggley lines Challenge. Such an interesting pic
Ah, my interesting twisted or contorted Hazel tree! Always lovely through the winter months.
I’ve been thinking of getting a hazel tree. Do they always grow like this or is yours just truly special? 😊
I don’t know the variety of mine as it was inherited, but if you buy one of the corkscrew type then you should be OK. Mine does not produce nuts.

Thanks for the info 😊
Fabulously summer-in-winter shot.
Hoping for more of this type of winter day! Tree is still full of leaves at the moment.
Look at that sky! And the bird, and the twisty branches too. 🙂
Similar sky this morning after tremendous rain, thunder and lightning before dawn, clouding over now again though.
Loved the curved branches and beautiful bird!! Awesome capture!!
Thank you 😊
Your blue skies are really cheering me up, Jude. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
They come and they go Pete!
what a smart fellow
Isn’t he just? I think he was singing to me just before I took his photo. The birds love to sit high in this tree to survey their domain.
🥰
Love that tree!
It certainly gets into lots of photos! Especially sunsets 😊
Good!
Lovely wiggly tree!
🥴
Those branches are awesome!
Corkscrew Hazel (or contorted or twisted) take your pick. They are a wonderful structure in the winter months.
What a great photo!
