This week’s bonus colour(s) from South Africa
Life in Colour

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling. View all posts by Heyjude
Yay! I’m all for a bit of celebrating! We’re off collecting said pine cones on a walk this morning with friends who go home tomorrow until next March. And lunch, of course. No doubt there will be cake. Have a nice day, Jude!
I suspect your walks are in rather warmer weather than here, currently 8C with an extremely chilly wind. If I was your friends I’d be staying put until March! Have the recent changes to travel upset your plans?
Brexit and the 90 days rule has made it quite difficult for people who come and go. They would normally go back for Christmas and return in January. This year they have aged parents moving house to help with, and a daughter in Canada that they haven’t seen for 2 years. Not sure if she will be able to visit, as planned. Complicated stuff! We hope we’ve got tests, etc sorted but it could all go very wrong. Will have the prayer mat out.
Oh wow! With pictures like this in your archive, no wonder you’re celebrating kaleidoscopes of colour.
It’s quite surprising how many multi coloured photos I have, but you can simply display a few brightly coloured images together.
I’m planning on taking you all to Liverpool, actually.
Ooh, good. A city I still have yet to visit.
It’s waiting for you …
Nicely colourful…will we see more from your archive,, Jude?
Not from SA, but I seem to have a few colourful images from around the world!
Not sure I have that many!
I guess they want the tourist guy to join the club…such a happy vibe here.
The Rainbow Nation!
You’ve encouraged me to dig into my archives in the search for a kaleidoscope of colour and I found one. Thanks for the push but I really should be doing my Christmas cards!
We stopped sending cards a few years ago, instead we make a donation to a homeless charity.
I’ve never understood why our culture’s clothing, especially for men, is relatively drab.
It wasn’t always like that though, men used to be the peacocks.
Africa is a very colourful continent when it comes to dress and decoration. Nice shots, Jude.
Best wishes, Pete. x
That’s very true. We are rather subdued in the north.
