#WordlessWednesday
I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling. View all posts by Heyjude

Looks interesting. Where is it ?
At the NT site in Avebury. It’s most impressive inside.
I’ve never been to Wiltshire. I really should, shouldn’t I?
It’s an interesting county.
Mm.. Is this meant for a different blog?
🤣
You’re right. I have no idea how I did that. Wot a pain. Sorry. Please delete!
Looks worth an explore….
The barn is the focal point of the old farmyard and houses the visitors centre. It’s very big. There is a museum and a 16th century dovecote in the yard too.
We thought Avebury was intriguing and worth visiting. Weirdly, I don’t remember that building.
It’s all part of the NT site which includes the Manor House and Gardens. I don’t remember seeing it on my previous visit, 20 years ago.
A nicely restored barn, Jude. Great example of that old architecture.
Best wishes, Pete. x
It’s a massive barn Pete. Beautiful beams inside.
