Bench Challenge Anniversary

Way back in 2015 – yes that really is ten years ago – I decided to post photos of the numerous benches sitting in my folders. It seemed that I was not alone and suddenly it turned into the Bench Challenge where I set a particular criterion each month and people joined in posting their bench photos. It was a lot of fun and I met a lot of wonderful bloggers through it.

A bench with a sea view – Berry Head National Nature Reserve in Torbay near Brixham

This year I am returning to mark the occasion by posting a bench photo every Sunday. There will not be any particular theme set this year so it’s not really much of a challenge, but if there is anyone out there who still has a bucketful of bench photos and would like to join me, then please do so by adding a link in the comments or a link to my post in yours (a pingback) and I will happily pop along to admire.

Heyjude

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

    1. It’s probably nice enough today, we’ve had some welcome sunshine lately, even more in the east of the region.

  1. I’d like to be able to just stroll over and sit on that bench, especially on such a fine sunny day. I love to be by the sea but that’s something that will have to wait a little while.

    1. Yesterday would have been a good day to visit the beach, but I suspect most of Cornwall would have had the same idea, instead I did some work in the garden. Such a shame I don’t have a sea view!

      1. I would be sooo jealous of you if you did have a sea view, hehe! Hubby is planning a visit to the seaside later this week but it’s about a 45 minute drive to get there and longer on the return because of after-work traffic. It would be so good to have a beach a bit nearer.

        1. I have a sea glimpse from one of my Velux windows, but a proper sea view if I walk a couple of minutes along the lane.
