During July I will be joining in with Becky’s SimplyRed Squares.

“Snape Maltings sits on the bank of the River Alde, surrounded by an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just six miles from Aldeburgh. The beautiful heritage site, with its converted Victorian buildings, is home to independent shops, galleries, outdoor sculpture, a restaurant and a dog-friendly café, and several performance venues – including the world-famous Snape Maltings Concert Hall.”
what a lovely red square composition – you’ve set the bar high
Probably the only one like this.
guess I’ll find out over the next 31 days!
What a glorious capture, the sunlight on that building just perfect, Jude. I’d like it there xx
Autumn. Must be a good 20 years ago. Maybe we’ll go back when we head east.
A beautiful red – my favourite colour.
You are going to see a lot of red this month. ❤️
That’s a terrific shot, and a perfect start to Squares.
Thank you Margaret. Went digging in the archives.
Joi the club!
That red! Fabulous.
Ah yes we’ve been here on one of our many visits to Michaela’s Mum in Lowestoft. Suffolk is so picturesque, no surprise it attracted many of the great artists .
That’s a lovely old building and you’ve caught it at its best with the Virginia Creeper (I assume?) glowing in that autumn sunlight!
A great choice for the challenge, and it looks like a nice place to sit and have a drink. (It’s 61 miles from Beetley so might be a good day out, including Framlingham.)
Best wishes, Pete.
Oh, yes I would recommend it. And a walk around Framlingham castle.
The light picks out the color perfectly.
Stunning building. And even the little flag on the mast is red.
You are the only person to notice that.
