I haven’t really been a sporty person since leaving school where I was involved with hockey and athletics. With four children to bring up there was never really any time, nor money and my physical activity has been limited to gardening, household chores and walking. Not exactly sporty! Though I did once do line dancing. OK not a sport. Though pretty physically demanding. I don’t suppose board games count? Thought not.
Fortunately other people are. Sporty.

Funnily all to do with water. The last one looks fun, though I would probably break my ankle!

A good collection of water sports Jude
Seems like I am drawn to people who like water 🤗
That’s a beautiful collection of great captures, Jude. I especially like the man fishing/surf picture.
A rather dangerous place to stand I thought.
Definitely, but it’s a great capture!
Well, that’s a good selection of watery sports, Jude! I agree with you for that last one looks fun but like you a broken ankle it seems the likely outcome
I’d have loved to have tried it as a young girl. Not now though!
You and me both”….
This non-sporty person enjoyed your take on water sports very much.
I am very pleased about that.
What a great set of photos, Jude. That first one especially.
Ah, yes, the youngster. Lovely frothy water.
Jude, Thank you for this great response to the challenge. Your images of all these water sports are fantastic. You captured those surfers beautifully and I love how you caught the huge wave hitting the rocks while the fisherman keeps on fishing. Great post!
Thanks Beth. I’m glad you enjoyed them.
I’m not sporty either but I do like watching other people who are, whether in organised sports or otherwise. Your photos capture the enjoyment of these different water sports very well – I especially like the surfing ones. I hadn’t heard of surf skimming, it does look fun and less daunting than actual surfing!
Seems there are a lot of us non sporty folk on here!
Like you, I have done nothing sporty since leaving school. But you had a great selection of activities to show for the challenge.
Best wishes, Pete. x
Thanks Pete. My only other sporty photo was of people playing bowls in Scotland!
Great photos and yes, quite funny they are all water related. The last one did remind me of one time someone did break an ankle while doing it. Obviously, I’ve never tried.
I can see how easily that could happen.
Great selection – none of which I would attempt! I hated games at school and apart from a few years of cycling and swimming (different years) haven’t done anything but walking since. I kid myself that’s enough (and it’s definitely safer, I’d no doubt be with the broken ankle brigade).
I really enjoyed my years in the hockey team, we had some great matches, but I wasn’t as keen on the athletics. I would have liked tennis, but we only got on the courts a couple of times in the summer. Volleyball was fun though.
It sounds as though your hand-eye coordination is a lot better than mine!
