home thoughts from abroad
Home thoughts from abroad is a new series on Travel Words featuring a single photograph that reminds me of a country visited and showing something that uniquely identifies it as being ‘abroad’.

A birthday treat from one island to another involved a ferry and a coach. Narrow roads curving around tight bends with no barriers. The mountain on one side, the sea on the other. Eyes closed. Stopping for coffee and a stroll beneath shady trees to keep cool. A fishy lunch down by the harbour with skinny feral cats weaving between your legs. Hot, tired and happy at the end of the day.

March Square | Squaring the Circles

Is THIS the perfect Post? It definitely meets Becky’s criteria of a squared circle. It has been such fun searching through my archives for these photos and I have started seeing squares and circles everywhere. Thanks to Becky I have become somewhat addicted to the square format and even altered my camera settings to 1:1 so you will be seeing a lot more squares on my blogs.
Thank you Becky for a fun month 🙂
And thanks to everyone who has kindly liked and commented on all my posts. It is very much appreciated.

March Square | Circles

For my penultimate March Square here is a photo of my very large wall clock. Time is almost over for the very interesting challenge hosted by Becky (“A life of a 40 something”). I hope she and you have enjoyed my dips into the archives this month. And now it is almost time for a rest I think.
