Ed is a truck driving photographer from Tennessee who hosts a photography challenge blog called Sunday Stills here on WordPress.
This week Ed would like to see any BAD WEATHER pics.

And what better weather photos to show you after all the rain we have experienced in the UK this month than floods – these are the River Severn overflowing in Shrewsbury.

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

And more till to come, by all accounts. Stay dry!
Fortunately I am up hill from the river here! But everything is very waterlogged.
What a lot of water! The second pic looks like a lake.
There have been a lot of lakes around here recently (normally they are called fields) π
Hee hee π
One thing we are not short of Jude, and that’s rain! Nice easy challenge for an English person, at least at the moment!
Regards as always, Pete. x
Yup, plenty of rain around here – streams running down the roads, fields that are lakes, roads completely covered in water and fast brown (all that Welsh mud) water rushing along the actual rivers! How’s it in your part of the country?
Pretty wet everywhere Jude, but not as bad as the West/South West. Best wishes, Pete. x
Yes, I am reconsidering Cornwall!
Felt a bit guilty pressing ‘like’ when so many people are having such a rough time with all this flooding. Great pictures, though.
You can feel better Jenny as these floods are on water meadows, so no homes were harmed in the making of these images.
Must be dreadful though to have this mucky water running through your home. One reason why we shouldn’t be building homes on flood plains! Rivers have to have somewhere to spill over onto.
Good pics Jude, glad to hear you are uphill from the water
Thanks Sue, though more rain on the way it seems!
Yep, forecast not good…. I am developing a serious rain aversion, but know that I am very fortunate compared to people that have had their homes flooded, so I can’t grumble.
Oh dear, Jude. I hope you’re not flooded yourself. Keep dry!
No Cathy, I’m a long way up from our river, though people living close by have sandbags at the ready. And a very, very long way from the coast where much of the damage has been done. Thanks for your concern!
Glad to know all is well so far. Hopefully the deluge will end soon!
No, more to come apparently; thinking of building an ark π
Oh dear! The animals better start lining up!
That’s a lot of spare water, Jude! Glad you’re not down in a dip. π
Me too!
I love close to the Shenandoah River so these views are familiar to me. This year is different it has been so cold there is nor melting. That will all change with the spring rains.
That sounds as though it could be pretty worrying when the melt happens along with the spring rains.
The river is ice now, the coolest thing but spring, there will be flooding!
Depressing, isn’t it, but our poor old American friends will have lots of photos to share (if their fingers can still click the shutter π ) Surreal! My son’s a Superbowl fan. That will be interesting! (for a change π )
Oh yes, interesting to see how excited they are about icicles in the southern states – must be completely weird to see something you have never seen before! A bit like snow in Johannesburg!
